So I decided to pursue international law a few years ago for my career and in my last post, I was faced with a tough choice of diving deeper into International Environmental Law or Diplomatic Relations.
After careful deliberation I decided that even though I am an environmentalist, I am more passionate about diplomatic relations and when wars are fought soldiers are on the front lines, but when wars are about to start diplomats are on the front lines and that is a place I would want to be. So that is where I started to narrow my research. It was a little bit easier to do that because I had a baseline for my research but also a lot of international law principles are set up for diplomats, so additions in my research came into commentaries and
practices of how these conventions outlining how diplomatic procedure is run to make sure that I truly know what processes I need to be familiar with. Progress has been adequate so far but things around my life are starting to pick up, especially ISM, so in order to truly be prepared I need to further narrow down my research and find actual things that are going to become problems for me to solve in my original work and final product.
