Over the First Hurdle

The first thing of note is the Gallery Walk. It was a chance for all of us to learn and grow as presenters for presentation nights on February 23rd and April 23rd. All in all, it was useful for two reasons. First, it gave me a chance to be assertive and keep the audience engaged because at first, that is what happened. While this topic is interesting to me, simply just talking about what I am doing isn't interesting to everyone, so I made some adjustments on the spot but in future, I will have to find ways to be able to hold my audience for longer and make adjustments so that they aren't too bored. On being assertive, not everyone there came up to see me so I had to reach out and attract people to talk about what I am doing. The second thing I learned was that I need to bring some water. While I did struggle at first with attracting people, over the 3 hour period I was talking tremendously and 2 hours in I was dehydrated.

After some discussion with my mentor, I am going to try to create something that addresses the disparity in diplomatic meetings that we had discussed earlier. I am still thinking of how this will all come together but as I move forward in researching what I think should be done, a medium will take form.
