Back to the Drawing Board

This week has felt very familiar to when I was first starting out with my research, except this time I, fortunately, have learned a lot more and am not sweltering in the Texas heat. At this point in time, most of my concern is focused on ideas for my Final Product and conducting research to not only expand what I already know, but to also drum up ideas. So far that has worked out somewhat well in that I have found a great trove of pieces to build upon but that is where things come to a stop. Still I am satisfied at what I am able to find as of right now but I am hopeful that by next week I will have some idea and some semblance of what to work towards for my final product.

So far my research has relied heavily upon the International Court of Justice. The Hague has been a point of interest for me for as long as I have been interested in Diplomatic Relations and reading up on it now is even more interesting, especially because of how current these cases can be. For example, I am currently reading up on South Africa's current suit against Israel. I think what I really want to gain from reading up on these releases is the understanding of how the ICJ handles conflict like this but also how other states react to these states and that voluntary jurisdiction that is awarded to the ICJ.
