This week is becoming a very intense workweek on all fronts. On the research front though, things are going relatively well. I was able to set up a call for Friday with the Irish consulate and it is exciting. Hopefully I will get more insight into my proposed original work. Now the biggest goal is to secure a third interview on that front and by then I will have compiled enough research to a get a good scope on my original work and write a draft.
Moving on to my original work, I am currently starting to work on an outline but I think I what I could use to truly gain some insight into common practices of these immunities is the handbooks given and some specific articles of the VCDR. For that I think my research will have to take me to the SMU law library to read up the actual text of Denza's commentary which had been struggle to find before but I do believe it will pay off in the end. I think I need to add more secondary research to further set precedent and become fully aware of the context behind my original work draft.
Lastly, I need to work on finding my mentor. I have made significant progress but I know I will some professional guidance eventually. I know that I should focus on getting interviews but that deadline is approaching soon.
